So I may have figured out when the ArtCrawl began. I have a binder, which I have collected the flyers and articles about the gallery and street. I have yet to narrow done the exact date but it appears to have started somewhere in mid-2006. I have to go back and check opening reception dates to confirm. Initially, LooseCanon had its opening receptions on the first Friday as an easy way for folks to remember when shows changed, more than when they opened. The idea being that you didn’t have to keep track of show, just whether you had come in that particular month. I remember the discussions began about opening together and the reception dates at LooseCanon begin to shift to what is now the 2nd Friday ArtCrawl. I just have to determine all my openings that year. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to confirm a month when it began. It would be nice to celebrate an anniversary.
